This blade looks extremely well forged. Classic blade shape reasonably sharp as delivered. A person would be hard pressed to find one as well made as this for the money. I did not like the wood slabs that came in kit so opted for cherry and brass pins. 4 coats of hand rubbed linseed oil and am very pleased with it. Definitely would buy again
