First off the knives are beautiful. The first set I received the wood grain and color of the handles was not very consistent across all knives so I returned them and the replacement set was much more consistent. I understand there will always be some variation in a natural wood product but the first set was quite different knife to knife. The knives and knife block are something you want to be seen and not tucked under the counter.The knives are very sharp and have held an edge over the time we have had them. They have good balance and are as good as any knives we have had.
