This is bad with real damascus steel. You can see the individual layers on the spine of the blade and in the eye carved into the blade. The edge is obviously not damascus, but a single layer of what appears to be high carbon steel as it is also darkened by whatever acid etch they used.The bearings are so smooth, and the knife opens all the way on a very gentle push of the little fin it has sticking out the back. It does catch on something, maybe magnetic? I'm not sure, but it's held closed very nicely.It feels incredibly robust and sturdy... but I'm not going to bang it around haha. It's a really nice knife.
