The BK2 is not a fine cutting instrument, so don’t go there looking for that. This is a heavy, thick, sharp beast of a tool that you can use to pry, baton, chop, cut and penetrate. Ka-Bar knows exactly what they have built here.Scrap the handles and put a good set of scales on the knife. If you want to, remove the black, powdered coating. Get a better sheath. If I needed to extract someone from a vehicle, this is the tool I would want. Pop the glass and clear it, cut the seatbelt, and pull them out. That’s what I think of this blade. This is not a bushcraft knife. I have many lighter, more appropriately fashioned knives for that.Durability? I think you could punch through a cinder block wall with the BK2, and then get working on other heavy projects.
