I bought this for my daughter in advance of a camping / canoe trip and didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I wasn't expecting real Damascus for $35 so I was not surprised when it was clearly laser etched. The knife comes with a "certificate of authenticity" but there is blatant false advertising hence the ding in the rating.On the plus it seems to be solidly made with a nice wood handle. No putty or epoxy filled cracks or any signs of poor workmanship. The blade was sharp out of the box, heavily oiled and wrapped separately in plastic inside the sheath. Time will tell how well it holds up, but given the false advertising and labeling re. being Damascus steel I also question what sort of steel the knife is. Sheath is also fine and seems well made.A nice looking knife for the price, but not the real thing.but NOT damascus... this is laser etched to look like damascus... still a nice knife and very pretty.Really beautiful knife. The sheath has a very odd loop of leather connected by a ring and doesnt make much sense. I would rather have a static loop for attaching to things.A quality knife, extremely well packed as the unpacking took longer than expected. Well worth the wait though as it has a great Damascus pattern. Looking forward to using it for hunting and scouting events.Snap will not stay snaped on beltLooks great , but the blade is poor. I never used it for a knife and the tip, is folded . I am amazed. I’ve never seen a blade rust like this too. To me, this knife would not work for any thing except cheese..and steak. That’s what I did and it rusted.Amazing work and a beautiful knife
