It matters because some of us collect knives, and for a knife to have full collectors value it MUST come with the box--a decent box, not a smushed one. Anything costing over $50 should be shipped inside a nice, sturdy box. Spare me the "eco" stuff---stuffing a $179 knife in a vinyl envelope saves the retailers money, but it makes for unhappy customers, who likely won't buy something like this through Amazon again.Purchased May 5th 2022! The knife speaks for itself. The sheath; I’ve bought several others and this one is mastered! Four layers of perfection. Protection. I just started my collection and I will be purchasing the other Bucks$This knife is almost to pretty to use. Almost. Used it to clear some shooting lanes and it preformed like a small hatchet. Say what you like about Bucks stainless steel choice, it holds and edge with the best of them and is about a medium on the resharpening difficulty level. Buck has limited numbers of this bad boy in circulation so grab them while you can.When ground to the factory angles, the edge seems a little prone to rolling over when presented to even soft woods. Would likely benifit from a blunter angle, but I haven't tried yet.
