Where is this knife manufactured? This Kershaw knife is made in the USA. It’s engraved in-house at our shop in Pleasant Plains, Illinois. What is the purpose of the Cerakote finish on the blade? Cerakote is a ceramic-based coating that improves the blade’s hardness, resistance to corrosion, chemicals, impact, and abrasion, and overall longevity. How does the SpeedSafe assisted opening work? Make sure the Tip-Lock slider is in the open position. Apply pressure to the flipper or thumb stud and the blade will open immediately. How do I close the blade? The frame lock will keep the blade securely open at all times. To release the lock and close the blade, use your thumb to push the lock to the left so it no longer obstructs the blade as you fold the blade into the handle.
