Started whittling first set ever nice and sharpOne tool had an edge that was not ground full to the tip. I fixed it.Otherwise, ready to use out of the box.I have large hands, and the handles are bulky. Not too large, just the shape of them is not completely comfortable. The blades are sharp and the kit is great for beginners. The gloves that came with it, were small, even though they are stretchy, they were uncomfortably tight.Quality set but could use some instructions or directions for beginners.These knives are exactly as described. They are somewhat larger than I expected expected, but they seem to be very well made,and they're extremely sharp. It's all good.Very sharp.. very happy with them.. wish that they would come with a double sided slightly curved blade.. I just can't find one.. though I love the sharpness of the blades an may fiddle with the handles to fit my hands better.. I'm kinda picky..Super awesome product.
