This knife has a good weight and a nice feel. The steel is very sturdy and so far I have not had to sharpen it. I've been using it in my leather shop for six months and all I have done is use a leather strop with some jewelers rouge. It comes up sharp enough to do brain surgery with. The first thing I did when I got it was build a sheath to keep it in, it is way too sharp to leave laying around on the bench top exposed. It is exactly what I expected, I am pleased.
