First of all, I do not speak English very well, so have that fact in mind when reading my review, please.The shipping was fast, it took 2 days to arrive with 2 days shipping. They were nicely and safely packed The Gyuto comes with plastic cover and the saya separately within one box. The petty comes in different box, the blade was in the saya, and there was no plastic cover. The blades were nice and sharp without any scratches. The edge and spine were straight.I had misono Ux10 gyuto previously, but the whole knife set was stolen. Therefore, I was researching many gyutos for a while, yet I decided to Yoshihiro a shot, since the set was in reasonable price range with wa handle.When I used the gyuto, it felt that the blade was little thiker than the misono Ux10, but do not qyuote me on that because I lost the misono a while ago, and I do not have appropriate tools to measure the exact dimensions. The knife is balanced towards to the blade, which was expected, The handle is quite long, despite the fact that I have small hands, it seems the handle is longer than the Shun classic 8 inch chef knife. Overall I am very satisfied with the quality of the knife, I just need to get used to the knife.The petty was a quite surprise. It is very light and easy to handle. The blades are very sharp. I was just peeling potatoes, carrots, ginger and dycon radishes, the knife cut then through like butter and was able to shave them in paper thin shaves.P.S Maybe I was not paying attention to the pictures, the knives are engraved with Chinese characters even I did not choose the option to engrave them.
