Product Description

Our exclusive Linking tradition and modernity through the reissue of the historical design. In 1905 F. DICK developed a chef's knife series with solid ferrules, these replaced the previously common rivets. Then as now, the forged series captivates with its unusual appearance. The chef's knife The chef's knife is one of the classics in the kitchen and is used to cut meat, fish and vegetables. With the knife is possible to cut, chop or weigh. Blade length: 8.3" Cutting edge: Smooth cutting edge Material blade: X50CrMoV15 steel Material handle: synthetic Hardness degree: 56° HRC Stainless: Yes The main features of the knife Knife steel The blade is made of alloy X 50 Cr Mo V15. Each individual component has a specific task: chromium (wear resistance), molybdenum (corrosion resistance), carbon (strength). Handle material The handle made of PPO polyphenylene oxide is abrasion and slip resistant and allows maximum safety when cutting. Product Features

INDISPENSABLE The chef knife with its classic blade shape is an absolute necessity in every kitchen. It is the most important kitchen gadget for versatile use, e.g. cutting meat, fish and vegetables.

CONVENIENT The handle is extremely hard and also resistant against heat or acid. In addition, it adapts to your hand due to its ergonomic design, which allows fatigue-free work; ideal for frequent usage.

PERFECTLY TUNED 56° Rockwell (HRC) is the optimal compromise between long edge retention and easy resharpening. Anyone who uses their knife frequently will be pleased with this balance.

UNPRECEDENTED SHARPNESS The blade is designed for sharpness and is therefore ground extra slim. Like each of our knives, the 1905 series is made of high-alloy stainless steel.

CRAFTSMANSHIP All knives of the 1905 series have a distinctive handle. Alternately, the steel rings line up without a gap to the high-quality and resistant synthetic material and make the handle a haptic as well as visual experience.

Love the belly. Very sharp o.o.b. Easily made a razor. Good feel in the hand. Have the 10 inch loved it. This one didn't disappoint. At first got them for tasks that I didn't want to punish the thinner, harder, possibly damaged blades on my 240 and 270mm Japanese laminated blades. Some say their hardness makes them prone to chipping. So didn’t experience that and didn’t want to.The 1905’s hold up well and stay sharp despite abuse I don't subject the others too. I’m starting to baby them too. Really like their looks and feel as well as performance.I got a cheaper Chinese Mercer Renaissance and Dexter iCut Forge to fulfill the abuse role. They perform above their price point so that’s very pleasing. As for being made in Taiwan and not Germany. I have the F Dick German made 8 inch Premier Plus. It can't be made any sharper than this knife and it doesn't noticeably hold it's edge any longer. It's a workhorse too but I can't say it's a better knife. I actually prefer the 1905.
